The electric actuator is a process control device that receives a command from the automation systems to operate shut-off or modulating valves, with high precision and safety.

Electric actuators
Electric actuators incorporate a combination of electric motor and speed reductor gearbox, specially developed and designed for the automation of valves, which transmits the torque necessary to actuate the 1/4 turn, multiturn or linear valve. It has a handwheel, which is part of the standard equipment, allows the valve to be operated manually.
The actuator records the valve stroke and torque data. An internal control unit evaluates this data and takes care of connecting and disconnecting the actuator. This control is usually integrated into the actuator and incorporates, in addition to the electrical interface to the automation system, a local control unit.
Multi-turn actuators SA and SAR
The multi-turn actuators of the SA series are designed for open - close service and positioning service (classes A and B) / (short operation S2 - 15 min).
The SAR series multi-turn actuators are designed for S4 - 25% regulating service (class C).
The actuators of the SA / SAR series can be combined with different controls: From the simple open - close control to the model with a microcontroller with service data recording or with a fieldbus interface.

Fail-Safe Unit FQM and FQMEx
With the Fail-Safe FQM unit, AUMA offers an innovative and safe actuator solution to automatically actuate valves in an emergency with the help of mechanical energy. Constant torque curve with torques from 150 Nm to 1200 Nm.
The spring does not move in normal operation, allowing a correspondingly small dimensioning of the actuator.
The end position switches are set automatically with the setting of the end positions OPEN and CLOSED and do not have to be set separately.
